Facilities at Lions Gate

Lions Gate Clubhouse
The Clubhouse, created from the original farm house on the property, is used for Lions Gate activities and meetings. It is also a beautiful facility for private/ family events and includes a large kitchen and inviting outdoor patio.

Swimming Pool
The heated swimming pool is open to Lions Gate residents and accompanied guests. The pool includes a shaded cabana, relaxing chairs, tables and an outdoor shower. Guidelines for the use of the pool are posted on the pool gate and on the wall of the Activities Center.

Activities Center
The Activities Center, located next to the pool, provides residents with a pleasant area to exercise. Treadmills, stationery bikes, universal weight machine and various pieces of exercise equipment are available for Lions Gate residents and accompanied guests.

Library
The library is located in the Clubhouse and provides a well-rounded selection of fiction and non-fiction reading for residents. Books are borrowed and returned on a honor system. The library is organized alphabetical by author and maintained by a Lions Gate volunteer.


Utilities and Services

Trash Collection and Recycling
The Lions Gate Association currently has a contract with J. P. Mascaro & Sons, Inc. (www.jpmascaro.com) which is the sole collector of trash and recyclables for the community. Both trash and recycling are collected once per week on Fridays. Trash containers can be obtained by calling Mascaro at 215-721-1600. Recyclable containers can be obtained at the Township Building.

Snow Removal
The Association has a contract with an outside firm for snow removal. Snow is removed from all driveways, courtyards, and streets within our community. Each resident is responsible for the removal of snow from their own sidewalk. Senior Citizen Center:

Generations of Indian Valley is a full-service community center in Souderton that offers programs in health and fitness, recreation, education, and nutrition for senior citizens. Phone: 215-723-5841.

Senior Citizen Gold Cards:

All residents of the Souderton Area School District who are 62 years of age and older are eligible for a "Gold Card" that will entitle them to attend most school sponsored events such as plays, concerts, and athletic contests at no charge.

A Gold Card also entitles the holder to take, at no cost, one course (per semester) offered by the Souderton Area Community Education program. However, not all classes are open to the use of Gold Cards and material fees may be assessed.
